Gay Marriages in Mass.
When the Human Rights Campaign needed seasoned news professionals to crank out streaming media reports around the clock on their biggest issue, they turned to New Media Mill.
Gay marriages were due to begin at midnight in Cambridge Massacusetts in May 2004. The Human Rights Campaign wanted to post a news report that morning by 9 am.
Who did they trust for this neckbreaking turnaround? New Media Mill.
Later that day, marriages would begin in Boston, to be followed by press conferences and general hoopla.
Our assignment from HRC was to produce as many pieces in the shortest possible time.
On Monday morning, as promised, the first story was streaming from our servers. By Tuesday, the professionals at New Media Mill had turned around three segments, each with a unique twist on the historic first day of gay marriage in the Bay State.
